APV Tread Cement is ideal for tire manufacturers that want a cost-effective way to adhere components such as the underside of extruded tread, splices, and skives together.

Tread cement is best applied by a finely atomized air/fluid spray gun to ensure a very thin film and complete coverage. The minimal amount of product needed for adhesion can provide tremendous cost savings for manufacturers. After allowing the cement to dry, the rubber components can be joined together for the curing process.

Cure Indicator Ink is applied directly to uncured, extruded rubber hose or tube. After the uncured material is wound onto spools and steam-cured in an autoclave, the color of the ink changes from red to white. This indicates that the marked rubber has reached the desired cure temperature.

Dot Markers contain water-removable inks and are packaged in marker containers for an easy and controlled application. This product is offered in three sizes for varying diameter dots. This water-based product is applied to cured rubber surfaces in new tire and retread manufacturing to hide blemishes, scuff marks, scratches, chalk marks, and crayon marks, creating the appearance of a cured finish.

A widely used tool, these products have been incorporated into several stages of the tire making process including marking raw material bales, fabric cord calendaring, tread and sidewall extrusion, inner liner calendaring, tire building, and inspection.

C-series Ply Marker Crayons, or fugitive crayons, are used to mark uncured (internal) rubber surfaces such as calendered material, plies, and bead rings. They can also be used to mark cured (external) rubber surfaces such as defect areas during visual inspection.

These warter- or solvent-based line of inks are used for coding and identification. DH-series are used on external rubber surfaces.

Isogran® IS 90-65 is a vulcanizing agent for all natural and synthetic rubber compounds in which sulphur bloom or infiltration of neighbouring layers of compound should be avoided. The use of insoluble sulphur Isogran® IS 90-65 is therefore recommended for all applications that require laying-up, welding, or where good ply-adhesion is essential.

Isogran® ZDTP/S is used as a special accelerator for EPDM compounds containing accelerators of Thiazol and Thiuram class as well as sulphur and zinc oxide. Vulcanizates accelerated by Isogran® ZDTP/S show no signs of blooming when observing the recommendation for the dosage. When using Isogran® ZDTP/S, accelerator systems can be obtained, that exhibit a very good processing safety and storage stability of the accelerated compounds.
